Awhile back the song was getting a lot of airplay again and there started being articles about whether a couple of white guys singing about a continent they’d never visited was appropriate. Blah, blah, blah. I’m not even sure you can say the song is about Africa. But it also coincided with remembering a different tone deaf ode to Africa, which was “Do They Know It’s Christmas?”
