Here are my thoughts:

1. The GOP paints every Democrat as a socialist/marxist monster regardless of where they are on the political spectrum. In their minds, that’s the strategy. Doesn’t matter if its AOC or Biden. That should tell you a lot right there.

2. I think any of the candidates could have beaten Trump because the record turnout was voting against Trump, not for the overwhelming love of Joe Biden. If Black voters had embraced Bernie Sanders, he would have likely ran away with it, but they didn’t. If he’d been the nominee, they would have voted for him.

3. You don’t need a broad appeal. We’re not trying to get Republicans to vote for a Democrat. You need people to get off their asses and vote. It’s turnout, not persuasion.
