I agree with parts, for what that’s worth. The early interview or business meeting is tedious. I never start early. I make them wait.

My strategy is to always plan to arrive early in case something happens, because something almost always happens. The difference is not letting yourself be known until it’s time. Wait outside. Go get coffee. Call the office. Plenty you can do.

IMO, being five minutes early for your appointment is on time. If I have to fly across the country to meet with you, I probably need a bigger window for error.

Being 10, 20, 30 minutes late just means you don’t give a shit about my time.
