I don’t want people to think writing is easy. It’s not. But it’s worth it. It’s worth the trouble. I think people think it will be easy and when it’s not they get discouraged. Writing is hard enough for most writers. Criticism is the thing they never expect. A writer asks to be read and people are going to have an opinion on what they wrote. It’s best to learn that early and learn how to deal with it.
