I generally have a viscerally negative reaction to the middle ground, although I’m a practical person, not an ideologue. I believe in the Overton window. The only way to get to where you want to go is to push for more than you think you can get. This is how an adversarial process works.

I haven’t seen any success with moderate behavior changing anything. So we disagree on the tactics even if we share the same goals. Not surprising.
