I get that’s your beef. I probably don’t necessarily disagree with you on most of it. Just seems like an odd crusade to me.

Cultural Christianity isn’t going anywhere anytime soon in this country. We’re still going to celebrate Christmas and Easter, and generally ascribe to a lot of Judeo-Christian values. The progressive Christians are attempting to take the best aspects of the teachings of Jesus and use them. I don’t see the harm.

I understand you disagree. I just don’t understand the need for evangelical atheism. Keep god out of government. I’m with you there. Try to convince people that all religion is stupid? A lost cause that only serves to make you feel superior.

Just wanted to leave an opposing view. Not interested in a huge discussion. I’ve also written quite a bit of criticism of the church, but from a different angle.
