I have often tried to come up with a strategy of trolling right-wing sites with disinformation but I could not work out how to approach it. Either I’m not smart enough or I’m not devious enough.

I fear that you’re correct that we will need to start over somehow but I believe that will be catestrophic and not nearly as easy as simply forming new political parties or incremental legislative action.
