I think it’s easy to cast the entire system as broken and corrupt, and there is some truth to that, but it’s nearly as simple, or as broken as you’ve presented it.

I 100% reject the both sides argument. The two parties don’t resemble each other in any way, shape or form. You might have a had better argument between Reps and Dems in the 20th century, but not today. It’s not the lesser of two evils so much as life and death. It’s a choice, but not a hard one.

Voting isn’t the only tool we have, but it’s the base. If you don’t vote, then we’re all screwed. We don’t get everything we want. Ever. But we try to make our voices heard.

The reality is, we’re under attack by unprecedented forces that want to strip your rights permanently. That isn’t some obscure policy argument.

You have to vote for the Democrats. They’re our only hope. But that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t be pushing the hell out of them to make them better.
