If you were paying attention, or knew your history, you’d see that the image is of American children in Connecticut in 1943 performing the “Bellamy Salute” while saying the Pledge of Allegiance.

The flag represents the country, not one small part of it. All the good and bad. The military doesn’t get to section off a piece.
