Some time, not too long after my episode, the same horse I was riding on took out a full grown woman with a tree exactly as you describe. Broke her arm or her collar bone. I forget. Horses know what they’re doing, especially when they understand that the rider is not really in charge.

You’re right. No helmets. No seatbelts. No security measures of any kind. We were all freeballing it.
