There is no way to say this without sounding condescending but I find that angle extremely naive. Are you somehow under the impression that I don’t know any working class people? Or even any Republicans?

This isn’t mere partisan politics. We’re not arguing about the role of government. They are coming for everyone’s rights and they don’t care if we agree or not. We’re under attack by racists and bigots and you want us to compromise.

How do you seek middle ground with someone who is pointing a gun at your head?
